Coach Peter Pimm BPHE, M.Sc., NCCP Level 4

The Greater Toronto Track Club's Head Coach is Peter Pimm. Since 1975, Peter, an exercise physiologist and a former medical researcher, has coached national team members in track events ranging from 400 metres to the marathon
(see below).
His first Olympic athlete, was Wayne Yetman, who represented Canada in the marathon at the 1976 Olympics; and in 1980, he coached master runner, Derek Fernee, to a 2:19:41 marathon, which remains the Canadian Masters record.
In 1982, Peter turned his attention to the middle distances and began working with varsity and club athletes based at the University of Toronto. During this tenure his athletes won numerous junior and senior provincial and national titles, set Canadian records, and were selected to compete in the World University, Commonwealth Games, World Jr. and Sr. Championships and the Olympic Games.
Peter has also been selected as a National Team Coach for the World Cross Country Championships, the World Indoor Championships, and the Commonwealth Games.
